Hello

I’m Erin François, a Francophile, interior styling nut, and DIY’er to the absolute core. I use my background in interior design to create Handmade Modern pieces for the home that add originality, beauty and functionality to our everyday.

I’m drawn to visually clean, modern spaces that are softened and made approachable by handmade, imperfect pieces. I think these pieces add soul and a relaxed sensibility, affecting how we interact and feel in our homes. We just bought our first home: a duplex! And are currently renovating the whole thing. Follow along in the Francois Renovates series!

A Few Fast Facts About Me:

  • I live in Minneapolis with my husband, Ken, daughter, Sylvia and tuxedo kitten, Gideon.
  • Francois is my married name, and my blog, François et Moi, began as more of a way to stay in touch with far-away family and friends. Over time it has morphed into an exploration in all things DIY and Design.
  • Blue is my favorite color. When it comes to interiors, I think of it as a neutral. You know, the way blue jeans are in your wardrobe.
  • The Bachelor TV series is my guiltiest pleasure.
