Have you guys been keeping up with We Make Collective’s DIY Kits? I wanted to share this little clay fabric votive project I did for their Polymer Clay Kit/E-course launch this summer, because these little gems would be SO pretty peppered around a Fall tablescape, and they’re super simple to make. I mean they’re not with out their rolling–lots of rolling out of clay, but that’s kind of a given when it come to clay!
Of all things, I used a muffin tin as the mold for the votives, and then added the prettiest gold accent rim to them using a cool gold powder that you can mix with nail polish to create a glaze. The powder came in the We Make Collective kit, and was something I’d never heard of. Now I want to use it on EVERYTHING–it’s that cool!
If you missed out on the Polymer Clay Kit, but want to access this tutorial as well as several others, you can still sign up for the polymer e-course HERE. The October Kit is also now for sale and the theme is Macrame, which is so timely because I’ve been seeing macrame EVERYWHERE in interiors lately. I can’t wait to knot me up something textural for my home! Find that kit HERE.
