Gilded Ombre Flutes with La Marca Prosecco

Merry Christmas Eve’s Eve! I’m partnering with La Marca Prosecco today to share this easy trick for dressing up prosecco flutes for Holiday gatherings!

I love serving prosecco at our gatherings because the bubbles pack the perfect amount of sparkle, making it easily able to stand alone as the main cocktail. No need for to conjure up a complicated aperitif, prosecco dazzles all on its own. And that means less planning for me! I do, however, like to dress up the glasses with a festive and easy gold ombre rim using a flavorless, food safe gold mist. The flutes can be prepared a few days ahead of time, if need be, and then simply filled with bubbly right before guests arrive. Cheers to stress-free entertaining!

You’ll Need:

1. Lightly and quickly spray the rims in a fluid motion with the gold color mist, holding the spray roughly 6″ from the glass. Place the glass upside down on a paper towel to dry, so that any drips run towards the top of the glass onto the paper towel. If the mouth of the glass is wide, you may want to stuff the glass with a paper towel prior to spraying.

2. Top with chilled prosecco and serve!

Does the food mist come off as you are drinking it?

Hi Christine! It may transpose slightly as you’re drinking. And then you’ll just want to run them through the dishwasher at the end of the night to get all the gold off. Happy New Year!
