I’ve walked by the sheets of acrylic at the hardware store several times this Spring, and every time I think to myself, ‘Self, you reeeally need to make something with that!’ Last month though, Ashley Rose over at Sugar & Cloth made all my dreams come true when she approved my acrylic serving board project for S&C. (In case you’re just tuning in, I contribute monthly DIY projects to Sugar & Cloth and this was one of my projects from May).
Rather than simply cutting the acrylic into a cool shape, leaving it clear, and serving it up with the prettiest vanilla bean cupcakes you ever did see, I decided to try something new and ‘back-paint’ the acrylic with a bright, chromatic color that would shine through to the top surface, all the while keeping it food safe and wipe-able. Perfect for serving up treats in the backyard all summer long!
I kind of love, love, love this project, and I’m so excited for you guys to check it out! Find the full tutorial at Sugar & Cloth.
