In reply to Mike. I think my table top was MDF. It was primed and painted already when I bought it though. I'd make sure to prime first-whatever material you choose. Definitely test a sample first too!

Also thinking of doing a Dining Table. What kind of material do you think the Epoxy would bind well to? MDF? I feel like wood might absorb the product.

I love this project! Thank you for sharing it. The table looks lovely.

I want to make a small dining room table like your coffee table. I’m a newb when it comes to DIY tables though. Ideally I’d want it to have a 36″ top and three 29″ legs. Your project is the closest I’ve found to what I want to make. Do you think the table would remain stable even if the leg height is bumped up 13″?

Yes! If you have a protractor–use it! I didn’t have one, so I went with the string method. 🙂
