Hi Leslie! The placement for the shelf above the stove was placed so that it aligned with the top of the fridge next to it. The location was high enough to be out of the cooks way, but low enough that things could be easily grabbed. The shelf sits back from being directly above the cooktop, and it&#039;s made of metal, so it seems to be working out fine so far! Unfortunately, I don&#039;t remember the exact placement height, but I think it was 64-65&quot; above finished floor. Hope this helps and good luck with your shelf install!!]]></description>
