Last Fall, I joined forces with a group of local, Minnesotan DIY’ers, Projects in Person, Construction2Style, & ReBuildMN to host a DIY Crash Course Night where we demystified the fine art of four home DIY skills: Drywall, Tile, Shiplap and Wallpaper Installation. Each of us polled their social media audience to find out what they wanted to learn most, and the general consensus from you guys was that you wanted to learn wallpaper installation. I was really excited to hear this because wallpaper is going through an absolute renaissance at the moment. There are so many new types and styles that the options for transforming your space with wallpaper are seemingly endless. Milton & King generously supplied the wallpaper, Pattern: Origami/Black, and we went to town installing it on several 3′ x 3′ faux walls that my husband, Ken, and I built for the event. I started each session with an installation demonstration, and then we broke into pairs to practice hanging a strip ourselves. Event Styling: Construction2Style’s Blogger Brunch

When Morgan of Construction2Style invited me to help style her newly renovated home for an upcoming blogger brunch she was hosting, I couldn’t have been more honored. Morgan is an absolute force in the home renovation and blogger world, and her new kitchen will knock your socks right off! I mean…that Mercury Mosaic tile installation. Gah! It was a day of fun with 6 fast new friends (all creatives from the Twin Cities) and we got right to setting up for Morgan’s Blogger Brunch happening later that weekend. There were 3 main areas we styled: the kitchen, dining room, and wine room. Bellacor sent a haul of furniture and accessories (including those amazing bar stools in the wine room! #want). Furniture designer, Brianne of Timber & Tulip brought in two incredible live edge wood pieces, Alyssa Schell masterminded the floral arrangements and crowns, Jen of Paisley + Sparrow, Katie Kath of Jkath, Morgan and I styled out the 3 spaces, and Chelsie Lopez captured the entire day with stills and video.
