Do you guys remember The MPLS/ST.PAUL Magazine’s Home & Design 100 Feature from last Fall? If you’re not from the Twin Cities or just tuning in, the Design 100 is a collection of the top 100 people, products and places who are making style waves in the Twin Cities’ home and design world, and I was somehow lucky enough to be included! You can read more about it here and here. The ridiculously talented and kind, Eliesa Johnson, was the editorial photographer for the story, and she recently shared a recap of the Design 100, as well as sent me a ton of outtakes from the morning she spent snapping photos at our North Loop apartment last September. Thank you Eliesa! Here are a few highlights from our shoot. Also, make sure to check out Eliesa’s full story recap right here. Save Follow Save Save Save Save Save Save Save Save

Wow. Today is the last Monday of 2015! The year always seem to just fly doesn’t it? When I started blogging 2 years ago, my main intent was simply to challenge myself creatively to make cool things and connect with other makers, but at the end of that first full year, I realized something fantastic that I hadn’t quite counted on. As each year comes to close, we ask, “Where did this year go?” Well after a full year of blogging, I could actually see where the year had gone. I could look back at my year of posts–little snapshots in time–and see the year documented. Being able to tangibly see where the year has gone is quite a treat, and I suspect that in ten years, I’ll savor these little snapshots all the more. Do you keep a journal or a blog? I’d love to hear how you measure the year. Before I sign off today, I’d like to thank you for stopping by how ever often you do. I’m so very grateful for your enthusiasm and support of this little ‘maker’s project’, as absolutely none of it would be possible without you! Thank you a million times. And […]

I hope you had a wonderful Holiday surrounded by your favorite people! Ken and I most certainly did–I’m infinitely thankful for such extraordinary [loving, warm, supportive] people in our lives that we’re lucky enough to call our family and friends. As 2014 comes to a close, it’s fun to look back and analyze the blogging year, particularly, in terms of page views. I love looking at the individual posts stats to see which posts took hold and which ones faded to the background throughout the year. When I’m creating content for Francois et Moi, there are posts that I think will do really well over others. However, once they go live, I usually end up being wrong! It’s tough to predict, but attempting to understand it all is part of what makes blogging so much fun for me. Thanks for a great 1st full year, and your continued readership. You guys are my motivation! Here were Francois et Moi’s top posts this year as selected by you! I hope to create more fun, DIY projects like these in 2015: DIY Striped Drink Perch DIY Gilded Accordion Sconce [Make Your Own] Patterned Leggings DIY Danish Modern Coffee Table Is there something […]
