I’ve been outbid on many a vintage marble tray on Ebay, so I think it’s time to just make myself one! Almost Makes Perfect shows us how it’s done.

    Hi Erin,

I’m wondering if you have made the marble tray yet. I’m thinking of doing this for a Christmas present or two but I’m concerned about the handles staying put. I saw some comments on another blog about them not holding well. I’m just looking for a little insight.

    Let me know!

Hi Nyssa! I haven’t made the tray yet, but I’m thinking the handles might be more for looks? I agree with you, with the weight of the tile, it might be tough to get the handles to stay put. You could try Gorilla glue? It’s crazy strong once it cures–just make sure you wipe off any excess because it expands and dries a honey yellow color. Maybe try making one for your home first to see how it goes? Good luck, my friend!
