Small Timers: Liebster Award

 

I’m so excited to share this morning that the lovely ladies, Sandra over at It’s Tidy Time and Michelle of Delicious and Michelle have kindly nominated me for the Liebster Award, a virtual award from mini bloggers for mini bloggers (less than 200 followers) to help promote each another! The rules are simple:

And that’s it! Since I was nominated twice, I’ll answer 5 questions from each gal.

Questions from It’s Tidy Time:

1. How do you feel about winter? I love the change of seasons, so towards the end of summer, I’m ready for fall and winter to run their course. However, I’d love if our Minnesotan winters were just a tiny bit milder & shorter. When about the 2nd week of January rolls around, I’m ready for the warm-up to begin. (Keep dreaming–I know!)
2. What’s your favorite candy? Extra, extra dark chocolate
3. If you could be any animal, what would it be and why? I think I’d like to be a bird and be able to soar up in the sky. What kind of bird? No clue. We’ll have to ask my ornithologist sister, Sarah, for help on that one.
4. What is your favorite country to visit? My favorite city is London, but I’ve got Lisbon and Cape Town at the top of my ‘To Visit Next’ List.
5. Coffee or tea? Black Coffee

Questions from Delicious and Michelle:

1. What do you enjoy most about blogging? I love the creative outlet it provides and the challenge to tell a story through photography and words.
2. What is your favorite food to cook and why? I love making french macarons, mostly because I love eating them afterwards! But also the artistry involved in perfecting the “feet” on the shells and dreaming up unique flavor combinations.
3. What is your favorite place to shop and why? Antique and thrift stores. I love the thrill of the hunt, pieces with a stories behind them, and a killer deal.
4. What do you like to do for fun? Make things. Travel. Explore Minneapolis/St. Paul on bike. Picnics. Farmer’s Markets.
5. Are you obsessed with your blog? I’m asking because I feel obsessed and totally invested I want to know how other bloggers feel about their blogs. I love Francois et Moi. It’s my little creative love child. Mon petit chou-chou. I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed, but it is always in the back of my mind, thinking, ‘oh that’d be a great photo,’ or ‘how could I tell this story on my blog.’ I don’t think I’m obsessed, per se, but my husband might feel differently!
